The Invisible Circle
A Journey of Transformation
What remains when everything you thought defined you disappears?
Livia has everything. Success, influence, visibility, wealth. Millions of people know her name. Then, in a single night, the life she has built begins to collapse. A public scandal turns admiration into condemnation. Friends disappear. Brands walk away. The noise surrounding her becomes silence.
And for the first time in years, Livia is left alone with a question she has spent her entire life avoiding: who am I when no one is watching?
Then an envelope arrives. No sender. No explanation. Only an invitation: The Invisible Circle awaits you.
A novel about losing the life you built — and discovering the life underneath it.
The journey
Five strangers, the same question
The invitation takes Livia away from Milan and into a journey through Venice, Rome and Lake Como. There she meets Daniel and a small group of strangers, each carrying a different version of the same problem.
Different lives. Different wounds. The same question: what happens when the person you became is no longer the person you want to be?
A technology entrepreneur haunted by what he created.
An activist whose anger is beginning to consume her.
A woman who has turned trauma into armour.
An executive who discovers that his job had become his identity.
An artist who stopped creating for himself.
The Circle
A simple framework for transformation
Clarity
What do you really want? Not what success tells you to want. Not what other people expect. Not what looks impressive from the outside. Clarity begins when you stop confusing movement with direction.
Identity
Who are you beneath the roles you play? Our beliefs slowly become our identity. “I am not capable.” “I need approval.” “I must succeed.” “This is simply who I am.” The Invisible Circle challenges those stories — and asks what could happen if we stopped treating them as facts.
Attitude
What do you do with what happens to you?We cannot control every event. We can choose how we respond. Attitude is not forced positivity. It is the discipline of deciding what an experience will mean — and what you will do next.
The deeper journey
Beyond achievement and ambition
As the story unfolds, the Circle moves beyond achievement and ambition. Into purpose. Fear. Attachment. Forgiveness. Gratitude. Relationships. The stories we tell ourselves. And the uncomfortable difference between building a successful life and building a life that actually feels like your own.
Livia begins to understand that goals alone are not enough. A goal is a destination. A mission gives the journey meaning.
For anyone who has ever wondered…
Seven questions
Is this really the life I wanted?
What would remain if my title disappeared?
How much of what I pursue is genuinely mine?
Have I mistaken recognition for value?
Am I postponing the things that matter because I assume there will always be time?
Can a failure become the beginning of something better?
And perhaps the hardest question: if I could begin again, what would I keep?
Not another self-help book
A story
I wanted to explore transformation differently. Not through another list of rules, principles or productivity techniques, but through characters forced to confront themselves. Because ideas sometimes reach us more deeply through a story than through an argument.
The Invisible Circle is fiction. But the questions inside it are real: questions about ambition, technology, identity, work, relationships and the price we sometimes pay for the lives we construct.
From Milan to Venice. From Rome to Lake Como. From collapse to possibility. The places change as Livia changes: the public world of Milan gives way to the mystery of Venice, Rome confronts her with the fragility of time, and Lake Como becomes the place where the pieces finally begin to connect. Not into a perfect life. Into something more valuable: an authentic one.
One idea beneath the book
When control disappears
We spend extraordinary amounts of energy trying to control what happens next. Our career. Our reputation. Our relationships. Our future. But transformation often begins when that control disappears: when the old story stops working, when we finally have to ask better questions, and when we realise that what feels like the end may simply be the moment when another path becomes visible.
“Life always takes you where you need to go.”
Sometimes willingly. Sometimes not.
